Dr. Vincen Wu
Experimenta Biologist, Mass Spectrometry Expert
Vincen Wu has a background in virology and natural products research, which led him to join the Takats Lab for his PhD at Imperial College London. During his time there, he focused on the instrumentation and optimization of DESI mass spectrometry imaging as a point-of-care diagnostic tool. This work was subsequently applied to investigate the heterogeneity of cancer metabolism within tumor microenvironments. Currently, he is focusing on characterizing novel MS/MS fragmentation technology to further propel advancements in the fields of metabolomics and lipidomics, ultimately leading to in-depth compound identification.
