Sauer Zamboni group achieves LEAF sustainability certification!
The group was one of 19 labs across ETH Zurich to be certified in the LEAF pilot project.
The Sauer Zamboni group participated in the LEAF pilot project at ETH Zurich, which encourages labs to take concrete actions for more sustainable science. These actions included turning three -80°C freezers to -70°C, turning off unused incubators and ovens, and adding reminders to switch off equipment and lights around the lab.
The group received their LEAF Silver level certificate on 31 January at the Dozentenfoyer in HG. So far, 4 labs across D-BIOL participated in the LEAF certification, though the Sauer Zamboni group remains the only participant from IMSB.
