About Toby
Toby obtained his diploma in natural sciences from ETH Zurich in November 2003 and joined the Sauer group right after for PhD until April 2008. During his PhD his focus was on metabolic flux analysis based on 13C labeling experiments applied to different species e.g. soil bacteria or pseudomonads and on their NADPH metabolism. During his PostDoc, Toby participated in the development of a new high-throughput metabolome profiling platform, which delivers full mass range high resolution (TOF-MS) data. Currently, Toby is working on genome-wide metabolome profiling in Escherichia coli, MS-data based functional genomics and high-throughput MS data processing.
