Susanna comes from Germany. She received her BSc. in Molecular Biotechnology from the Technical University in Dresden. She continued studying Developmental, Neural, and Behavior Biology in Goettingen. In her Master thesis she investigated the role of Protein Phosphatese 1 in neural tube closure in Xenopus laevis.
In March 2012, she joined Hugo Stocker's lab as a PhD student within the Molecular Life Science (MLS) PhD program. She uses Drosophila to study early tumorigenic processes.
