Malgorzata comes from Lodz, Poland. She studied biotechnology at the International Faculty of Engineering of the Lodz University of Technology, where she obtained a specialization in Technical Biochemistry and Molecular Biotechnology. In 2011, she spent one semester within the frames of the Erasmus LLP program at the Technical University of Denmark. For her Master Thesis she has been investigating the role of ClpP protease and triosephosphate isomerase in the process of bacterial cellulose synthesis by Gluconacetobacter xylinus.
In November 2013 she joined Hugo Stocker's lab as a PhD student within the Molecular Life Science PhD program.
