Dr. Martin Mehnert
Martin studied Biochemistry at the Freie Universität Berlin and obtained his PhD in the lab of Thomas Sommer at the Max Delbrueck Center for Molecular Medicine in Berlin, Germany. During his PhD he worked on the mechanisms of protein quality control at the endoplasmic reticulum in the yeast Saccharomyces cerevisiae.
He joined the Aebersold group as postdoctoral fellow in July 2014 to study the composition and structural organization of protein kinase complexes by applying crosslinking-MS and AP-MS. Martin's reseach is supported by EMBO long-term fellowship
