Dr. Michael Ewing
Michael studied chemistry and mathematics at Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology. He then studied neuropeptidomes in the Sweedler lab at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, specializing in methods for the detection of chiral post-translational modifications and searching genomes for short homologous neuropeptides and achieving his master's in 2008. After taking a two year break to work in pharmaceuticals, Michael developed new ion mobility spectrometry instrumentation and techniques in the Clemmer lab at Indiana University - Bloomington, completing his PhD in 2015. He joined the Aebersold laboratory in September 2015 and is working on cross-linking mass spectrometry of protein complexes.
